We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future.

Well Hello Jannali and welcome to FORA STUDIOS

My name is Lidia. I'm a mum of two young boys and I have lived in Jannali for the past 13 years. I've grown to love it so much, even though, in my youth, I swore I would never EVER live in the Shire! Fool me :-)

Some of you and your families have lived in the area for many years, some have only just discovered its village vibe since the last known surviving Flemings left town not too long ago.

Inspired in Jannali

I've always thought that Jannali had something special and perhaps now we can be proud of the local natural treasures and acknowledge the many talented women, men and youth that work hard for our 2226 and surrounding suburbs.

What will be in the Store?

My aim with FORA STUDIOS is to not only provide you with an inspiring emporium of gifts, crafts, fashion, homewares, garden tools and plants as well as stationery and books to choose from. We haven't forgotten kids and pet friends either! Our products will hopefully inspire you to find and unfurl your own creative nature and to make more mindful buying decisions that may seem less convenient and a little more pricey at first, but become easier and more financially sustainable over time.

FORA STUDIOS Merchants and Makers provides a platform for smaller craftspeople,  artists, changemakers and advocates to either sell or promote their wares and ideas, all for the betterment of our community. That could even be you!  A workshop and event space will be available too.

Jannali's Taking Shape...At Last!

Let's celebrate a new vibrant era for Jannali while recognising its history, including its rich indigenous culture.

You've see the store taking shape and the types of things we sell and workshops we'll offer. But, in the meantime, take a look at the online store here and be sure to support small businesses this Christmas. We have click and collect available right now and free delivery over $125.

Make group gifting easy and start a FORA gift registry. Consider purchasing a teacher gift to say thanks to those educators and caregivers. No need to head up to that big consumption bunker in Miranda. You've got it all in the box...Box Road!

So, what is 'FORA' anyway. Did we forget the 'L'?

FORA is a Latin based word meaning 'what is out of doors'. Respecting nature is always my guide in selecting the range for the store.

Sustainability should also include social sustainability and a respect for artisanal and well made products. Everything in the store will have a story and background to it. It could be a fragrant honey made by a local beekeeper, a sarong made by a group of disadvantaged Colombian women using their generations old hand-stitching skills to better their lives and learn about business, or a painting by 92 year old Indigenous woman who only started painting a few years ago.

What do I know anyway?

Assistance Dogs Australia Fora Studios Autism

While I had a long career in design and product marketing, the recent years have been about my children, killing a few plants in my garden, and now its about raising awareness for communities in need in the Shire. That may include domestic violence, more ubiquitous than we realise.

Come and Say Hi!

This is my first shop, so I hope you'll pop in and say hello as I'm tinkering away. Don't be afraid if you see me in a 'bitchy resting face' phase. It's likely I've just caught my little boys stealing products or hiding them under the fixtures.
