Mia Galison eeBoo

What's not to love about eeBoo?

When Mia Galison started eeBoo, she did not know what a gift it would be to be able to build a business and a family at the same time. Her story is inspiring especially considering she began the journey more than twenty-five years ago.

Twenty-five years ago, Mia wanted to create a new paradigm for what it meant to be a working mother. She refused to embrace the compromise of work versus family - she was determined to have it all in one place, one self-perpetuating organism.

She set up her office in the basement of her house where she could be close to her kids who could be part of it, experience it, understand it, and help with what she did.

"I never worried about what the business looked like to other people. I never tried to conceal that we had kids and dogs running and barking in the background or tried to stop my mother from walking into the office during a meeting. I embraced this early chaotic mix as my brand, and I was proud of it"

From the outset, Mia and her husband Saxton wanted to encourage creative thinking, open-ended play, and meaningful communication in the products they developed. Telling stories with their children, finding interesting objects in nature, and working on crafty projects together informed and inspired what is now the eeBoo line.

Mia and Saxton's kids have now graduated from college. Mia has white hair and eeBoo is no longer an anomaly in the toy industry. Thanks to eeBoo, changing tastes, evolving values, and the interweb have enabled new and bigger waves of smaller unconverntional business to enter the market, many run by women and small children  - FORA STUDIOS being  is one of them!!

Mia is proud of her acheivement, her children and the meaningful assortment of products they have offered over the years to the world which, most importantly have embodied her values as family and as parents
