Martumili Artists was established by Martu people living in the communities of Parnpajinya (Newman), Jigalong, Parnngurr, Punmu, Kunawarritji, Irrungadji and Warralong, and it draws on strong influences of aboriginal art history. The artists and their families are the traditional custodians of vast stretches of the Great Sandy, Little Sandy and Gibson Deserts as well as the Karlamilyi (Rudall River) area. Most Martu people maintain an entirely independent, nomadic desert lifestyle until the 1950s and 1960s when they walked into settlements in response to a long and severe drought. Today, Martu people live in their own communities and regularly visit regional centres such as Newman and Port Hedland.

100% linen is a premium, eco-friendly fabric made from flax fibres. It is highly absorbent, quick-drying, and durable, ideal for kitchen textiles. Linen softens with each wash and has a natural strength that ensures longevity. Additionally, it requires less water and pesticides to produce, making it a sustainable choice.
Care Instructions:
Wash with similar colours. Machine wash in cool to warm water (30-40'c) with a mild detergent, no bleach. Best to hang to dry as linen dries quickly, which will reduce wrinkling or shrinkage.

About the Artist
Growing up in South Africa with a father as an artist, creativity and nature surrounded Adele Naidoo. She learnt to appreciate the beauty and colour that made up her childhood. Naidoo's work has evolved from purely digital drawings, to mixed media, where she now combines both acrylic paints and digital art. Large scale florals, thick, textured brush strokes, dripping paint on a subdued pastel or contrasting dark, moody background is her signature style.

The Postcards Compendium is a 144-page publication featuring some of the photographs that make Lodestars Anthology contributors happy. Lodestars ode to travel - and all the beauty and wonder that is out there, just waiting until the world is ready.
"I’m convinced that to look back like this, while always in part an act of grief, is first and foremost a celebration. The past, humming with the attention we give it, repays us in kind - by reminding us of how far we’ve come. Now, and perhaps for a while yet, this will be our challenge, to take solace in memory."
- Cameron Zeyd Lange Los Angeles, May 2020
During lockdown in London (having printed Mexico and replotted our issues dedicated to Greece and Wales) I found myself desperate to create. It wasn't about making the lockdown time count, more about finding ways to slow down, look back and seek beauty - and to offer a platform to some of the creatives who have been so generous with their time and talent over the years. And so the team and I began work on Lodestars Anthology Postcards - a 144 page photo book featuring archival work from across the world, paired with musings on life, travel and the wonders of photography.
