LINGO | Mandarin Travel Playing Cards
Regular price $19.00 $19.00
Mandarin is spoken by more people on the planet than any other language - four times more than English! If you’re wanting to navigate the globe, then having at least a few words to pull out of your arsenal will come in handy. And, if you’re thinking of exploring China, knowing more is a must. Finding fluent English speakers outside of major cities can be harder than finding the lost city of Shi Cheng.
This deck includes 54 Mandarin translations essential for travellers who want to immerse themselves in the culture they're exploring - from everyday greetings and introductions, to eating out, moving around, or finding a place to stay. Practical phrases are accompanied by easy-to-learn pronunciation.
Pick up Mandarin while playing cards!
In 2012, on a Central America backpacking and surfing trip, Lingo's Aussie founder Keaton White had a "light bulb" moment to migrate hand-picked Spanish phrases from a battered notebook onto the cards he played every afternoon over sunset cervezas.
Having improved his Spanish through fun card games, he realised his idea was too good not to share. Lingo was founded in 2014 through a Kickstarter campaign and is now loved all over the world.
Whether you're planning forward for that trip when borders finally open, or just want expand your linguistic capabilities, you'll love using this fun deck. Featuring the most commonly-used Mandarin travel phrases, accompanied by easy-to-follow phonetic pronunciations, Lingo's playing cards offer a fun and easy way to learn a new language.
All Lingo Cards decks are beautifully designed and evoke unique themes and vibes. Each deck, which contains four suits of 52 playing cards and two Jokers, is made from only premium quality materials, ensuring durability and longevity.

LODESTARS ANTHOLOGY | Postcards Compendium
Regular price $19.00 $19.00‘Extraordinary, really beautiful coffee table objects . . . incredible, gorgeous photographs’
- BBC Radio 4
"I’m convinced that to look back like this, while always in part an act of grief, is first and foremost a celebration. The past, humming with the attention we give it, repays us in kind - by reminding us of how far we’ve come. Now, and perhaps for a while yet, this will be our challenge, to take solace in memory."
- Cameron Zeyd Lange
Los Angeles, May 2020
During lockdown in London (having printed Mexico and replotted our issues dedicated to Greece and Wales) I found myself desperate to create. It wasn't about making the lockdown time count, more about finding ways to slow down, look back and seek beauty - and to offer a platform to some of the creatives who have been so generous with their time and talent over the years. And so the team and I began work on Lodestars Anthology Postcards - a 144 page photo book featuring archival work from across the world, paired with musings on life, travel and the wonders of photography.
