EXTRACT OF ORGANIC SWEET ALMOND FROM PROVENCE - Soothing
The ever-so-soft, ever-so gourmand almond, covered with a soft green velvety coat, has been used for its cosmetic properties since ancient times. It's high in vitamins and unsaturated fatty acids and renowned for soothing skin, keeping it soft and protecting its hydrolipidic film.

SWEET ALMOND OIL - Softening
Sweet almond oil, rich in oleic acid and linoleic acid that are naturally present in our skin, nourishes and protects skin. Thanks to its composition rich in saturated fatty acids and oleic acid, sweet almond oil softens the skin and protects it from drying out, giving it a velvety feel.

SHEA BUTTER - Nourishing
All active ingredients in Panier des Sens products have been selected for their cosmetic quality and their Provence history. One, however, stands out, given its distant origin and its universal benefits. Shea is a natural active ingredient extracted from the shea nut, fruit of the shea tree, a wild tree endemic to West Africa: Butyrospermum Parkii. This exceptionally hardy tree can live for up to three centuries! A very rich beige-coloured paste is extracted from the nut and is then worked into butter. Shea butter is universally-reputed for its nourishing and protective properties. As it's rich in vitamins A, D, E and F as well as fatty acid, it nourishes skin and helps it better defend itself from dehydration and external aggressors.

To ensure flawless product quality and to preserve a unique agricultural legacy, Panier des Sens teams up with local artisans and producers to develop and encourage sustainable and organic agriculture whilst preserving the local species that create the wealth of this region. Provence is the almond tree's favourite place to be and there were thousands of them here in bygone times. The region has been famous for its almonds, land and green almonds since the 19th century. The almond used in this collection is sourced from the Valensole Plateau, an almond-growing hotspot renowned for its premium quality.

Moroccan Memoir

“After a family holiday in Morocco, I spent weeks rifling through tins of pipe tobacco in a specialist store in Mayfair to find the right base for a scent that evoked the rich, leathery smells we discovered in the mountains.”

Inspired by the scents and scenery of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, this unisex fragrance is built around the aroma of pipe tobacco. Layers of rum, vanilla and hay are topped with cinnamon, ginger and black pepper, wrapped in the woody warmth.

Nostalgia is a form of time travel for emotions, and scent can be the most powerful way to trigger it. For Laboratory Perfumes, a whiff of pipe tobacco can be enough to unleash a fond flood of childhood memories into the hippocampus. So, when it came to determining the base for their fifth fragrance, Laboratory Perfumes chose something very personal – that earthily aromatic tobacco note.

With the help of a knowledgeable but somewhat bemused tobacconist, they went through dozens of different blends and cures in search of the right scent to build upon. The one they settled on had a whisper of the exotic, reminiscent of Morocco, so back in the lab, they introduced supportive layers of rum, vanilla and hay that intensified its North African character. Spiced with cinnamon, ginger and black pepper, and complemented with the warming, woody aromas of fine Cognac, the result is a complex and confident fragrance that unveils intriguing new layers and facets as the day goes on.

The fragrances Laboratory Perfumes create at Laboratory Perfumes often start with a single aroma. In Samphire’s case, it was a young leaf of verbena plucked from a friend’s garden on a spring afternoon. The scent was so arrestingly fresh, Laboratory Perfumes decided to find a way to capture its zesty rush for this, their third fragrance.

A sprig of that verbena was crushed with a pinch of juniper berries from the spice rack – and Samphire began to take shape.

Moving from the kitchen to the lab, citrus oil, flourishes of lavender, basil and rosemary, as well as base notes of white amber and oak moss were blended in to create a bright, cool, aromatic scent with a lightness of touch that belies its complexity and longevity on the skin.

The finished scent was so clearly evocative of the seashore they could only call it Samphire.
