In 2012, on a Central America backpacking and surfing trip, Lingo's Aussie founder Keaton White had a "light bulb" moment to migrate hand-picked Spanish phrases from a battered notebook onto the cards he played every afternoon over sunset cervezas. 

Having improved his Spanish through fun card games, he realised his idea was too good not to share. Lingo was founded in 2014 through a Kickstarter campaign and is now loved all over the world.
