In the Pink
The warm caress of the climate and the bright palette of its flora and fauna are just a few of the things Australia shares with Brazil.
Inspired by that country’s most famous architect, Oscar Niemeyer, this amazing print chimes perfectly with a colourful Australian sensibility.
This retro-styled apron is immensely practical yet a thing of beauty in itself. Sewn with a pin-tucked waist and soft pleats, with waist and neckties, it’s covered in wild botanical imagery in hot hues.
From the original handpainted imagery through to hand construction and detailing, it speaks to a love of nature run riot. Just the thing for cooking up an alfresco feast.
MATERIAL: 97% Cotton, 3% Elastane
Who is Oscar Niemeyer anyways?
Living until the age of 104, Oscar Niemeyer is perhaps the most famous architect Brazil has ever produced. His early take on Modernism in the mid 20th Century paid homage to his country's culture and natural organic forms and continues to influence architects, painters, surface and graphic designers in Brazil and here in Australia.
